Description

The Control Center Operator I at Convergent Energy and Power monitors and operates energy storage and solar assets, creating trouble tickets, escalating issues, and collaborating with field technicians for maintenance. This role involves daily asset operations, event management, incident response, problem management, and change management. The operator needs a foundational understanding of power plant components, energy dispatch strategies, monitoring practices, and alarm response actions.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience with using supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems or Asset/Building management systems to monitor and run a portfolio of energy assets.
Experience operating assets for an electrical or other utility, renewable energy or other municipal service provider.
Experience using and controlling electrical meters, relays, PLC’s and RTACs.
Preferred Qualifications: B.S. in a relevant Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.).
Experience operating battery energy storage systems or experience operating / monitoring renewable or traditional generating facilities.
ITIL, NERC or equivalent certifications.
