Description
The Controls Designer creates control schemes, schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and panel layouts for cooling and monitoring systems on medium and large power transformers. The role interprets customer specifications, incorporates design revisions, collaborates with mechanical designers, manufacturing, customers, and vendors, and troubleshoots electrical designs during manufacturing and testing. It requires an associate’s degree in control circuits or an engineering-related field, or equivalent training with 3–5 years of design experience, along with knowledge of relays, circuit breakers, PLCs, CAD tools, and wiring procedures.
