Description
AES is hiring a Control Room Operator to remotely monitor and control a portfolio of utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage, and solar-plus-battery assets through SCADA and other electronic systems. The role is permanently located in Dayton, Ohio, requires rotating 12-hour shifts, and involves fault monitoring, plant parameter adjustments, grid-entity reporting, outage coordination, maintenance ticketing, regulatory compliance, documentation, and emergency response. Candidates need at least two years of control center operations experience, familiarity with renewable assets and NERC standards, SCADA and electrical-system competency, and the ability to work independently under limited supervision.
