Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Control Systems Engineer to support process control systems at its Alabama River Plant in Perdue Hill, Alabama. The role involves designing, implementing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing DCS, PLC, VFD, and paper-machine control systems; supporting instrumentation and automation projects; partnering with corporate teams on advanced manufacturing technologies; and contributing to mill safety, reliability, sustainability, and process efficiency. Candidates need at least five years of process control or automation experience, DCS or PLC programming experience, familiarity with loop sheets and P&IDs, and the ability to develop control documentation and schematics.
