Description
The Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer and leads the credit union's accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial measurements and strategic execution. They collaborate across the organization to prepare and interpret financial reports, advise on fiscal controls and profitability, and establish effective financial procedures. Responsibilities include leading the accounting team, interpreting accounting standards, identifying process efficiencies, managing month-end/year-end closings, coordinating audits, monitoring accounting data trends, communicating financial updates, educating stakeholders, serving as an accounting subject matter expert, engaging in industry representation, collaborating with community leaders, and developing a high-performing accounting team.
