Description
Surge is hiring its first dedicated internal Controller to own the accounting function end to end. The role covers the monthly, quarterly, and annual close; GAAP-compliant financial reporting with a focus on enterprise revenue recognition; accounts payable, receivable, billing, collections, contractor payments, and payroll; internal controls; tax compliance; relationships with external accountants and tax advisors; accounting systems; and coordination with FP&A, Legal, and People. The posting seeks an accountant with at least 8 years of experience, ideally an Assistant Controller or accounting lead at a high-growth company, with CPA and ASC 606 experience preferred.
