NorthWind Technical Services is hiring an entry-level, full-time Automation Engineer to design, program, test, commission, and support industrial automation systems. The role involves writing PLC, HMI, and computer programs; diagnosing and resolving system issues; traveling to customer sites; training users; and coordinating projects across multiple industries. Candidates need a BS degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering and proficiency with listed engineering software and tools; pneumatic conveying, extrusion, drying, separating, compounding, weighing, batching, and continuous-process knowledge is also listed. National and international travel is required, and the work may involve climbing, kneeling, lifting, occasional heavy lifting, power tools, and driving.
