Description

AWS is hiring a Controls Engineer to design, deploy, optimize, maintain, and troubleshoot Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) automation for AWS data centers. The role manages construction and service contracts, stakeholder deliverables, vendor relationships, controls documentation, logic programming, wiring diagrams, and maintenance, while requiring domestic and international travel of at least 25%. Candidates need construction or controls experience, a relevant engineering degree and controls experience, or equivalent experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering science, or 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution.
5+ years of industrial controls experience in a critical environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Controls/Automation.
Experience with HVAC controls or Electrical SCADA systems.
Experience with MQTT, BACnet, or MODBUS.
Understanding of engineering documentation, electrical and mechanical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Ability to manage stakeholder deliverables and navigate difficult situations.
Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure.
