Description
The Controls Engineer provides technical support and programming for manufacturing system designs and modifications in an automotive setting. Responsibilities include supporting equipment programming, programming and maintaining robot inputs and outputs, troubleshooting software and hardware, loading software packages, documenting projects, developing vision systems and system upgrades, programming PLCs, and interpreting electrical schematics and equipment documentation. The role requires automotive plastic injection molding and assembly knowledge, robot and PLC programming, electrical schematic analysis, strong computer and communication skills, and 3–5 years of controls experience in an automotive facility.
