Description
North Point Technology is hiring a Controls Engineer in Warren, Michigan, to support a ground-up manufacturing automation implementation for a major automotive manufacturer. The role focuses on designing, programming, integrating, and commissioning Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/GuardLogix PLCs, Ignition HMI/SCADA applications, and PLC-to-MES systems, including work-order verification, traceability, recipe management, production reporting, barcode and RFID integration, label-printing processes, and production launch. The position requires hands-on experience developing controls systems from scratch in automotive or high-volume discrete manufacturing environments, with preferred experience in ZPL, barcode and RFID traceability, Ignition Vision or Perspective, and industrial networking technologies.
