Building Controls and Services, Inc. is hiring a Controls Engineer Intern in Lenexa, Kansas, at $21–$23 per hour. The intern supports the design, documentation, programming, troubleshooting, installation, startup, certification, and turnover of building automation and HVAC control projects, coordinates with the Controls Team Lead, and provides customer technical assistance. The role requires knowledge of automation systems, HVAC and electrical concepts, blueprint interpretation, AutoCAD, Windows applications, communication, mathematics, problem solving, organization, and a valid driver’s license; one year of engineering systems or systems-service experience is preferred. The position may require overtime, travel, overnight stays, and 40 hours of continuing education annually, and includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, insurance, and paid-time-off benefits.
