Description
Tutor is hiring a controls engineer to own safety-critical control code for robotic arms, including joint and speed limits, stopping behavior, collision response, control-loop monitoring, stability, and failure modes. The role also involves organizing and testing the code, building hardware-in-the-loop test benches with real arms and safety hardware, maintaining safety evidence, and documenting design decisions. Candidates should have real-time control experience on physical systems, experience in a mission-critical codebase, comfort with robot dynamics and torque, strong C++ and Python systems software skills, and experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing.
