Description
The Controls Integration Engineer is responsible for on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material-handling equipment, including sorters, conveyor systems, and automated work cells. The role provisions and validates Linux-based IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and field devices; performs I/O checkouts, network validation, system bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting; and provides technical leadership to contractors, system integrators, vendors, and internal teams. The engineer also supports integration with Warehouse Control Systems and higher-level orchestration layers, documents issues and lessons learned, and contributes to commissioning standards and continuous improvement. The position requires networking fundamentals, industrial communication protocols, and willingness to travel up to 50%, with preferred programming and large-scale commissioning experience.
