Description

AWS is hiring a Controls Manager to lead the deployment and service of building management systems and electrical power monitoring systems in data centers. The role manages controls engineers and technicians, coordinates internal and external project work, oversees vendor and general contractor relationships, and supports technical delivery, testing, commissioning, and customer needs. Candidates need extensive industrial controls, project, vendor, and team-management experience, along with a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering science
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of relevant controls experience
5+ years managing, mentoring, leading, and coaching controls teams
5+ years hiring, promoting, disciplining, and developing controls teams
6+ years managing large-scale controls projects
6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience
5+ years managing complex electrical and mechanical controls deployments
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
8 years directly managing controls teams
10 years of project and vendor management experience
4 years of data center system-level architecture and electrical engineering experience
4 years of data center system-level architecture and mechanical engineering experience
Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure
Professional Engineer certification
Prior AWS or Amazon experience
5+ years of military service
