Description
The Cook prepares congregate and home-delivered meals for nutrition sites across varying locations, including warming kitchens, central kitchens, and sites that assemble menu side items. The role also manages program documentation, maintains kitchen sanitation and nutrition records, supports inventory and supply ordering, and supervises and trains FSA employees and volunteers. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of food-service cooking experience, background and drug-test clearances, a food handler permit, a California driver’s license, automobile insurance, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. First Aid and CPR, plus Food Safety Managers Certification, must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
