The Cook prepares meals and snacks according to menus and applicable food-safety standards, reviews menus before preparation, and assists with regular and special-diet menus prescribed by physicians and dietitians. The role requires State Food Service Sanitation certification, while one year of dietary or food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility is preferred but not required.
