Cook at Tenet

The Cafeteria Cook prepares hot foods for the hospital cafeteria and special events, follows standardized recipes and safe food-handling practices, uses kitchen equipment, maintains work areas and equipment, stores food properly, assists with production planning, and provides backup serving and tray-line support. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred culinary arts training, and either six months of institutional or catering cooking experience or two years of quantity food preparation experience. The position is based at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Oakland County.
