Description
The Licensed Social Worker plans, directs, and evaluates the hospice volunteer program, recruits and onboards volunteers, matches them with patients, supervises their work, and maintains regulatory compliance. The role also provides psychosocial and spiritual assessments, care planning, counseling, crisis intervention, bereavement services, referrals, education, and backup coverage for the medical social worker. It requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, LMSW licensure, CPR certification, and strong computer, database, and record-keeping skills; hospice or home-care and supervision experience is preferred. The position is listed as 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
