Apple is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Apple Services Engineering Core Services team to build scalable, high-performance server-side features for customer-facing Apple services such as Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, App Store, Apple Arcade, and Fitness+. The role involves developing and enhancing MusicKit APIs, working with distributed data stores, collaborating across teams, and delivering features under tight deadlines. Candidates need a B.S. in Computer Science or a similar field, at least five years of software engineering experience, knowledge of JVM or functional languages such as Clojure, strong object-oriented design and algorithmic skills, and experience with RESTful APIs.
