Description
The Automotive Technology Instructor teaches courses and labs in the Automotive Technology Certificate program, prepares course materials, submits instructional recommendations and purchase requests, reports attendance and grades, assists with registration, and provides consistent supervision of correctional students. The role requires 37.5 hours per week at the work site, compliance with Illinois Department of Corrections regulations, and the ability to read technical service manuals, demonstrate correct shop and diagnostic procedures, and communicate effectively. An associate degree is preferred and teaching experience is desired, while automotive technician experience is required.
