Description
The Construction Trades Instructor teaches courses and labs in the Construction Occupations Certificate program and prepares course materials, textbooks, and instructional supplies. The role requires working 37.5 hours per week at a work site, reporting attendance and grades, assisting students, maintaining tools and safety equipment, and complying with Illinois Department of Corrections regulations. An associate degree is preferred, teaching experience is desired, and experience in construction trades is required; the position also requires knowledge of estimating, truss-rafter layout, wall sections, windows and doors, drywall, masonry, electrical, and plumbing.
