Description
The Correctional Educator provides classroom instruction to incarcerated individuals at Clarinda Correctional Facility in High School Equivalency, Literacy, Adult Basic Education, and/or Vocational Training. The role also administers CASAS assessments, maintains classroom order and student records, follows Iowa Department of Corrections security practices, and completes required training and safety courses. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, successful teaching experience, an approved IDOC background check, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to complete the three-week IDOC New Employee Training.
