Description
The Security Coordinator supports the Travis County Sheriff’s Office by maintaining detainee rosters, keys, activity logs, and inmate property records; operating radios, alarm systems, X-ray and camera surveillance equipment; coordinating traffic and emergency responses; processing new inmates; conducting warrant checks and sentence calculations; and assisting with inmate visitation and program administration. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, up to one year of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, and completion of required licensing and background examinations; it involves shift work, some holidays, evenings, nights, and weekends in Austin, Texas.
