Description
Orenda is hiring a full-time Cost Control Engineer (Governance) to own the cost-governance truth system for preconstruction projects. The role builds and maintains project budget baselines, reference cost models, variance drivers, allowances, confidence scores, bid-to-BoQ normalizations, and estimate-to-actual reconciliations; it also manages change-control documentation, escalation of unknowns, and audit trails. The position partners with preconstruction, procurement, development, engineering, construction, and finance teams and requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant cost engineering, estimating, project controls, or preconstruction experience. It is an in-office role in Brooklyn, New York, with periodic travel, and offers a base salary of $120,000-$170,000 per year plus a performance-based bonus and benefits.
