Description
The role focuses on product development cost engineering for automotive seat and soft-trim systems. Responsibilities include researching cost and technical parameters, performing BOM cost calculations, providing cost optimization and target-cost recommendations, generating technical and costing reports, and coordinating with OEMs, suppliers, and global technical or costing experts. The position requires 2–5 years of experience in product development, cost engineering, purchasing, SQE/STA, lean manufacturing, or value engineering, along with knowledge of seat and soft-trim manufacturing processes, BOM costing, and VAVE.
