Description
The Cottage Care Coordinator plans, directs, and assists with cottage care staffing and service needs. Responsibilities include recruiting and managing cottage care staff, orienting and monitoring training, supporting management and community activities, developing a care team and residential living environment, coordinating person-centered activities and life skills programming, completing resident assessments, coordinating resident care services, monitoring physician orders and medication administration, and supporting Alzheimer’s and memory-impaired residents. The role requires knowledge of diagnoses, medication administration, senior resources, and the social, psychological, and recreational needs of residents; experience or training in an equivalent setting is preferred, as is RN/LPN or a bachelor’s degree, while MedTech certification is required if the candidate is not an RN or LPN.
