Description
The Counselor provides alcohol and drug abuse counseling, group counseling, patient orientation, treatment-plan development and revision, progress documentation, and record maintenance for assigned patients. The role supports patients in identifying strengths, setting social, educational, and occupational goals, and adjusting to a drug-free existence, while following program policies and applicable regulatory requirements. The position requires a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or another social-services field and one year of experience working with substance-abuse patients.
