Description
The Family Services Counselor supervises and supports children in Kids Zone, Club Y, and Summer Camp programs. Responsibilities include taking attendance, planning and leading age-appropriate activities, communicating with parents, assisting with family-center events, reporting injuries and health concerns, following YMCA safety and risk-management procedures, and participating in aquatic activities. The role requires a minimum of 17 years of age, a high school diploma or GED, prior experience working with children, bilingual English-Spanish or English-Creole ability as a plus, and First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
