Description
The Health and Safety Officer reports to the General Supervisor, Health, and Safety and supports the Health and Safety Department at the Meadowbank Complex. Responsibilities include implementing health and safety management tools, developing the Meadowbank Health and Safety Program, conducting cross-departmental training, supporting audits, optimizing H&S software and document control, and performing workplace audits. The role requires a bachelor's degree in industrial relations, sciences, or a related field, five years of health and safety experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills; underground mining and mining experience are assets. The schedule is 14 days of work followed by 14 days for transportation and rest, with accommodations and meals provided on site.
