Description
The Patient Transport Driver operates a Mercy patient transport van, safely transporting non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients, assisting with transfers and wheelchairs, maintaining the vehicle, and providing customer service. The role requires a current and valid Class E or equivalent driver's license, BLS certification, transfer and lift techniques, oxygen-transfer competence, wheelchair-lift operation, UHF radio communication, and vehicle maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of passenger-transport experience are preferred.
