Description
The Wood County Sheriff's Office is hiring Courthouse Complex Security Deputies in Bowling Green, Ohio. The role provides protection and security for courthouse employees and the public, enforces laws, takes inmates into custody, conducts interviews and investigations, protects property, secures courtrooms and judges, responds to alarms and emergencies, performs security rounds, monitors surveillance, screens persons and packages, assists visitors, and prepares reports. Applicants must be at least 21, U.S. citizens or lawfully authorized to work in the United States, hold a valid Ohio driver's license and high school diploma or GED, have current Ohio Peace Officer Academy certification, have no felony convictions, be insurable under the county's carrier, and meet specified criminal-history and English-language requirements.
