Cabarrus County is hiring a Child Welfare Social Worker to provide protective, investigative, counseling, and case-management services for children at risk of or experiencing abuse and neglect. The role includes crisis intervention, investigations, court testimony, safety planning, service plans, referrals, family and community engagement, and home visits. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or a related field with specified experience, NC child welfare training, a valid North Carolina driver’s license, and availability for rotating nights, weekends, and occasional on-call duty. The schedule is 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. with rotating nights and weekends, and compensation is $28.00–$33.49 per hour plus an after-hours premium and paid overtime.
