Apple is hiring a CPU Performance Architect to work across RTL, implementation, software, and system teams on a chip design effort. The role focuses on architecting CPU performance features, identifying hardware and software bottlenecks, developing CPU performance simulators and exploration tools, profiling and optimizing workloads, and correlating RTL with CPU performance. Candidates need a bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant industry experience, along with experience in CPU performance architecture, performance modeling, and C/C++.
