Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam is hiring a Crane Operator to operate cabin-equipped quay and port cranes at its Schiedam and Botlek shipyards. The role involves accurately transporting and placing varied loads, sometimes using multiple cranes, performing first-line crane maintenance, assisting with horizontal transport using forklifts and reach stackers, and maintaining safe, environmentally responsible, quality-focused work practices. Applicants need VMBO-level working and thinking ability, a recognized quay/port crane operating certificate, good eyesight and depth perception, comfort working at height, knowledge of load capacity, wind sensitivity and load securing, and sufficient English to understand instructions and give directions.
