Description
EVR is hiring a permanent Crane Operator to report to the Supervisor, Maintenance and safely operate conventional and hydraulic mobile cranes up to 300 tons in an open-pit coal mine. The role includes setting up and stabilizing cranes, calculating capacities, drafting lift plans, rigging, routine maintenance, and supporting equipment and material relocation. Applicants need a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator Certification, and a Class 5 driver’s license is required; Class 3 or Class 1 licenses are considered an asset. The position is site-based in the Elk Valley near Sparwood, British Columbia, with a 4 x 4 day-shift schedule and an hourly wage of $53.78.
