Description
The Marine Crane Operator will safely operate marine cranes on vessels, offshore rigs, or marine terminals, lifting and moving cargo and equipment while following lift plans, rigging procedures, safety protocols, and environmental conditions. The role includes pre-lift briefings, inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and coordination with bridge, deck, and rig teams. Applicants must have marine crane experience, NCCCO certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass medical and fitness examinations; marine experience is preferred. The position is unionized under Operating Engineers Local 3, requires local applicants only, and pays $34.41-$53.18 for apprentices and $58.04-$68.18 for operators.
