The Crematory Operator receives and processes human remains, completes cremation documentation, maintains chain of custody and company records, operates and maintains cremation equipment, and may deliver cremated remains to authorized funeral homes or authorities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one to three months of apprentice experience, state-required crematory operator certification, and a valid driver’s license when performing removals and transfers.
