Description
The Criminal Defense Attorney supports the Criminal Division of Garza Law Firm by handling criminal cases from initial client meetings through local and federal court appearances, including arraignments, pretrial conferences, motions, negotiations, settlements, and jury trials. The role also involves new-client intake, case viability assessment, pricing and contract negotiations, legal research and strategy, pleadings, case documentation, and client communication. It requires a Juris Doctorate, Tennessee bar admission, good standing with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, Microsoft 365 proficiency, and 1–3 years of criminal law experience; small-to-medium law-firm and criminal-hearing or trial experience are preferred.
