Microsoft is hiring a Critical Environment Operations Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and control-system professionals supporting Microsoft’s critical datacenter infrastructure. The role oversees equipment operations and maintenance, maximizes critical-environment availability, reduces high-impact incidents, drives cost and energy-efficiency initiatives, monitors power, temperature, humidity, and service-level agreements, and collaborates with engineering groups and global peers. The position requires a high school qualification or equivalent plus 10+ years of mission-critical service management or equivalent experience, 3+ years of people management experience, and the ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 140,200–284,400 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
