Microsoft is hiring a Critical Environment Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in datacenters supporting cloud services such as Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. The role manages preventive and corrective work, escalations, small-to-medium projects, compliance audits, reporting, single points of failure, and cost/energy-efficiency initiatives while mentoring technicians and promoting safety and operational standards. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of industry experience, or two years of industry experience with college coursework; preferred qualifications include relevant infrastructure experience, engineering education, certifications, and project-management experience. The position offers a typical U.S. base pay range of USD 84,400 to USD 168,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
