Description
Microsoft is hiring a Critical Environment Technician Intern to work onsite at its Melbourne datacenter. The role supports cloud infrastructure by performing site rounds, monitoring and inspecting HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety systems, using a CMMS, assisting with emergency response and incident investigations, participating in maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex systems, documenting work, and contributing to procedures and technical research. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems, Australian nationality or eligible Australian residency, and the ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements. The position is open for at least five days and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
