Description
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist provides full-spectrum anesthesia care, including general and regional anesthesia, anesthesia care planning, airway management, resuscitation, obstetrical anesthesia, equipment maintenance, and postoperative evaluation. The role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief of Surgery, functions as a team leader during cardiovascular and pulmonary emergencies, and provides continuing education. Requirements include active Maine licenses for registered nursing and certified registered nurse anesthesia, current BLS, ACLS, and PALS verification, a master's degree in nurse anesthesia, leadership and independent-functioning skills, and 10 days of call per month.
