Description

ChristianaCare is seeking a Weekend Incentive Position (WIP) CT Technologist for their Newark Hospital Imaging Department. This role involves performing all phases of CT scan testing, assisting with student training, administering contrast media, and ensuring patient safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge and proficiency in using CT scanner units and contrast media injectors.

Verifies insurance pre-authorization
Assists in the learning process of students and new staff
Administers all contrast media under physician’s supervision
assess patient for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status
complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of contrast media injectors
i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
Required Previous Experiences: Completion of ARRT registry
ARRT registry in CT Scan required.
Licensed by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection
Completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement.
