Description
Under direct and indirect supervision, the CT technologist performs computerized tomographic examinations and procedures in CT service areas, including patient positioning, protocol selection, order review, contrast injector operation, sterile field preparation, image post-processing, PACS transmission, and assistance during interventional procedures. The role emphasizes patient safety, radiation protection, documentation in RIS/PACS, equipment maintenance, on-call coverage, supervision of student technologists, and mentoring new personnel in a hospital imaging department.
