Description
The Trauma Performance Improvement RN supports quality improvement initiatives in the emergency department by analyzing trauma registry and collaborative data, monitoring patient care, developing clinical practice guidelines, and collaborating with trauma leadership on injury prevention and process improvement. The role also performs the nursing process for trauma patients, assesses acuity, implements care plans, communicates discharge instructions, and works independently while participating in emergency department activities. It requires an associate degree in nursing, 1–2 years of experience, three years of trauma or emergency clinical experience, and specified RN, TNCC, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
