Description
The Custodian 1 assists custodial staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary school or campus environment by performing daily and weekly cleaning, sanitation, equipment care, energy management, and emergency-response duties. The role may supervise or train part-time and temporary custodial staff, respond to building and staff requests, report maintenance and supply needs, and secure the building. It requires physical work in varied weather, exposure to cleaning chemicals, and the ability to use hand and power equipment, with a high school diploma or GED and a Proficiency of Custodial Operations certificate preferred.
