Description
La Crosse County is hiring a custodian for its Facilities Department to perform semi-skilled cleaning and upkeep of large public buildings and grounds. The role includes floor care, restroom and general cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste disposal, minor plumbing and lighting tasks, inventory support, and occasional driving of county vehicles. It requires physical work involving standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and safe use of chemicals and personal protective equipment. Previous building cleaning or grounds maintenance experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train the right person; a valid driver's license and criminal background check may be required depending on assignment.
