Description
The Custodian performs daily cleaning and sanitation duties in a parish or school facility, including emptying waste receptacles, washing windows, dusting, sanitizing restrooms and food areas, mopping, stripping, waxing, and floor buffing. The role also involves removing and recycling trash, responding to hazardous conditions, requisitioning supplies, moving heavy furniture and equipment, and setting up or removing decorations and event furnishings. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, supplemented by experience operating custodial equipment and meeting the physical demands of the work; evening and weekend availability may be required.
