Description
The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary public contact for a city department, handling inquiries, complaints, policy and rate information, cashiering, data entry, records, mail, invoices, and administrative support. The role reports to the Utility Billing Supervisor, works in an office environment, and requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of college or technical-school coursework in business and computer applications, and at least three years of progressively responsible customer-service experience. The position is non-exempt, eligible for overtime, represented by Teamsters Local 589, and excludes the city’s Civil Service system.
