Description
The Customs Declarant prepares, checks, and submits import, export, and transit customs declarations while ensuring compliance with national and European customs legislation. The role handles queries and discrepancies, manages permits and procedures, maintains contact with authorities and partners, identifies compliance risks, supports audits and AEO certifications, and uses automated systems and data analysis to improve customs processes. It requires at least three years of customs-process experience, automated-declaration experience, client-contact and compliance experience, and vocational or higher-education-level training in customs or declarant work.
